Toy Boat

Toy boat. Just saying those two words is enough to put a smile on anyone’s face. Eight-month-old Gabriel’s bath was filled with floating toys tonight. Is it possible to have too many bath toys? There’s the HOT water safety device cleverly disguised as a rubber duckie, at least six floating (plastic) seafaring critters that are great fun for a teething baby, and a plastic “Cars” tumbler used to rinse soap off his little body–but you have to fight him for it. He’s trying his best to chew a whole in the bottom (as opposed to teething on the rim like I tend to do with my margarita’s salty rim, but I digress….)

Gabriel’s not quite ready for the toy boat which doubles as a hand-held water scoop. I bought it recently at a local thrift store for 50 cents. The toy boat may be the only product in the water (besides Gabriel) that is “Made in the U.S.A.”
